Paint Tubes
Is it safe to paint the clear “poly tubing” that runs my fridge water/ice maker?
I have the tube from my sink to my water/ice maker running through my open ceiling in my loft. Is it safe to paint this tubing to match the ceiling, or will the paint affect the taste/purity of the water at all? I don’t think that it’s possible for the paint/chemicals to penetrate the tubing…but I just want to be sure.
Yes it is fine. That tube is connected to the cold water supply. You may want to use an oil based paint just in case the tube sweats a little. If you want to cover it, your local harware store has small square tubing that is usually used to run electrical wire along an indoor wall.

Body Paint
do you need to be good at art to body paint in a make course?
just wanted to know if you need to be good at art to body paint in a make up class.
Well if you have some painting background that will help you a lot. The better you can paint the better you can body paint. Its a little different but most artist can make the adjustment, painting is basically all the same, its just getting use to the different mediums and painting surfaces.
Skill wise you dont have to be that good, you just have to have an eye for design of what would look good painted on a body, or the overall effect of the paint job. But the better skills you have the more ideas you can better execute.
If you never painted before just get some paints and paper and start painting to get the hang of it, and pretend the paper is a persons belly or something.

Createx Airbrush
Can anyone help me with some airbrush questions?
I got an airbrush kit for Christmas which consists of a small air compressor, the airbrush and a set of Createx paints.
There is either a small jar or a metal “cub” that attaches to the bottom of the airbrush. The jar works great, however the metal cup, when attached, seems to tilt about 45 degrees forward. Therefore, you can not move the airbrush down without spilling the paint. I’ve noticed from some YouTube videos, a lot of people are using an airbrush which has the metal cup on TOP. Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the two? As I said the jar works fine but it looks easier to use the metal cup if you only want to use a small amount of paint. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
With the type of airbrush you have you can’t tilt them you have to have your work strait up and keep the gun level and just move your hand up and down the canvas. You can always go out and buy one with the paint container on the top and use your compressor for that if you wanted to .
But for now just keep it level and move you hand without tilting your hand . Keep it strait as possible.

Tempera Paint
Does tempera paint come out of clothing?
I’m doing a project with 3-5 year olds involving tempera paints. Is it washable from their clothing? If not, what are some good ideas that don’t cost much (if anything) to prevent them from ruining their clothes?
Tempera *should* wash out of clothing. I’ve taught Art for five years and have found that yellow can sometimes be a pain… what I do with my little ones is have them wear a paint shirt (old button down shirts put on backwards work great) and have a bottle of Shout nearby for any major incidents. But it basically should wash out without a problem if you use the typical tempera paints available (like Crayola or Prang). Watercolors are really great for the little ones as well and are washable. If possible, tell the parents that they will be painting and have them wear old clothes and bring a paint shirt.
