Beach Seaglass
Help me Identify this strange rock found at the beach?
I found a rock on a beach I believe a few years ago. I found it glassy side up and then picked it up and saw that the other half was a normal looking rock. The funny thing is that there is a line going completely straight through the entire rock where it was embedded in the sand. Its so cool and I want to know what it is!

BUt like i said, half of it looks like seaglass maybe sorta and the other half maybe sand?
hmm.. cool. The bottom part is yep a sandstone going by the size of the grains. But, going from here, it looks like most of the grains are shell bits. So you would call it a limestone or if you wanted to be more accurate, a packstone (if there is mud in it) or grainstone (if there in only sand). As for the top part, it looks like calcrete – hardened limestone cement. This is common on beaches, especially around where there is freshwater mixing with the ocean water. It would likely have cemented over and between the grains where the top of the rock was exposed for some time. Wind blown sand grains might have buffed it up a bit.

When markets grow more destabilized, which seems to be happening most of the time, the price of gold and precious metals goes up, because people around the world value it more.
