The beauty of Lego building bricks is that they are not just fun for kids, they can really appeal to adults as well. With Christmas around the corner and people getting ready to add the Christmas atmosphere to their home, it is interesting to see that this holiday actually lends itself to adapt to personal preferences.
Whether that be in the color theme used throughout the home, or they type of decorations being used, each individual family celebrates Christmas in their own way, adding their own personal taste.
You can of course keep it totally traditional, but here is for adding some color to your home aswell as a playful touch. Why not sit down with your kids and build your Christmas decorations this year with the help of Lego building bricks. Of course it is impossible to think of the lego 8110 truck as a Christmas centerpiece, but the real Lego fans are definitely capable of creating some awesome decorations with these colorful bricks.
The Lego Technic 8049 is probably better left as a present for under the Christmas tree, which you could easily build yourself as well. If you don´t know how to, watch the following video which shows you how anybody can do so:
As you can see, that little tree really did go up fast, and with some imagination, you can easily make it bigger and better yourself and add all sorts of other Christmas decorations. Important thing though, is to spend quality time with your family and loved ones, and playing with Lego together certainly will give you some memorable experiences to look back at from years to come.
Halloween Centerpiece – Home Decor Meets Halloween Decorations
Family dinners – seven nights a are one of the most important events in our family. It doesn’t matter whether it’s someone’s birthday or a holiday, we consider each night important. However we do indeed love celebrating holidays at the dinner table. It means all of the kids get to have a hand in picking out the tablecloth, dinner plates, glassware and centerpiece. And I’d be lying, if I didn’t say we love to celebrate Halloween!
Every year the kids get to decide on the Halloween centerpiece. I give them a $30 budget and they can either buy it or make it. It’s really where home decor becomes Halloween decorations and the kids realize this. So a great deal of discussion goes into the Halloween centerpiece vibe. Do we want it to be spooky and eerie or light-hearted and humorous? Should there be a witch or a ghost. Well vampires have won several years in a row. And the werewolves are starting to cry foul. Can you tell the tweens are Twilight obsessed?
Usually a major trip to the craft store is part of the Halloween centeriece process. The only rule is that we have to be able to see each other over the centerpiece. So they are long and low. The kids tend to get carried away and that’s okay. They’re so proud of the centerpiece. It’s usually moved to the mantle piece and showed off during the Thanksgiving holidays, when all of the other relatives arrive.
